LatCham has been actively working to expand the 2009 US Baltic Business Forum. LatCham President, Gustav Plato stated "We are pleased to announce, and also honored, that Republic of Estonia Prime Minister, Andrus Ansip, has agreed to be a featured speaker at this year's business program. This is just one of the many exciting announcements that we have planned for this year's business program. The Republic of Estonia has been a very active and helpful participant."
LatCham, has been working with representatives from each of the Baltic nations as well as the United States. Gustav Plato elaborated "We have been working very closely with Toomas Moor, the Head of the Economics Section, at Estonia's embassy here in Washington DC. Toomas has really been a key contributor to the team taking the program to new levels this year and has helped us in every step, including our visit to Estonia, as well as helping us with the follow up to our country visit, and in overall program design."
More announcements regarding program participants are forthcoming and this years program promises to be a great event. The program will take place from May 13, 2009 through May 17, 2009, The U.S.-Baltic Business Forum will provide U.S. and Baltic companies an opportunity to discuss the latest trends in transportation, logistics, supply and technology; build new business relationships; and identify new projects and opportunities in the US and the Baltic Sea Region.
This program is held annually in conjunction with the US Baltic Foundation's annual celebration of US and Baltic cooperation.
