Electronic System for Travel Authorization

Beginning November 17th, 2008, Latvian citizens traveling to the United States for a period of 90 days or less, for business or tourism purposes, will no longer require obtaining a visa.
In order to qualify for visa free travel, a traveler requires to hold the new-type biometric passports and also requires to register with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA).
