The opening of the Supply Chain Venture Forum begins in Baltimore, Maryland, on Wednesday, May 13, 2009.
The program will be high impact and high touch. LatCham has been in discussions with the State of Maryland and have discussed two speakers representing the state and port respectively. The current plan is to open with Christian Johansson, Secretary of Maryland's Department of Business and Economic Development (DBED) and move on to James White, Executive Director of the Maryland Port Administration.
The Republic of Latvia, will also present a speaker, that being Arturs Bergholcs, Parliamentary Secretary, Transport Ministry of the Republic of Latvia.
The opening sessions will close with a brief discussion about the Latvian Chamber and the business program by Gustav Plato, Director of the Board of LatCham.
Following the opening discussions there will be a lunch presentation by Raytheon Company. Once lunch is complete the group will break out into customized meetings and conclude with 1:1 matchmaking sessions.
